An extremely refined program, dedicated to the music of the Mediterranean from Italy, Spain, Greece and Malta. All music featured in this performance is by composers of the 1900s, and all with important literary references: Gabriele D'Annunzio, Saffo, Federico Garcia Lorca, are the poets who lend their lyrics to be set to music by Ildebrando Pizzetti, Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco, Piero Clausetti, Luciano Berio and Karl Fiorini. Very interesting in particular will be the "Romancero Gitano" for flamenco guitar and choir, and original arrangements for choir by Karl Fiorini on music by Berio.
